Was it Bo Dallas playing The Fiend at WrestleMania 37 against Randy Orton?
The Fiend recently returned after a hiatus from WWE following his altercation with Randy Orton at TLC 2020.
A WrestleMania 37 date between him and Orton was set and many thought that this would be the end of their long-standing feud centred around Alexa Bliss.
But that was not the case, as The Fiend was distracted by Alexa Bliss, thus affording the opportunity to ‘The Viper’ for an RKO.
And that was the end of it. The fight was deemed as odd and undeserving of opening night two by wrestling fans, and everyone’s focus immediately turned to other things.
But soon after the end of WrestleMania 37 night two, fans speculated if it was actually the Fiend, or if he was replaced by someone else for the match.
And this is something that was the topic of discussion on the latest episode of the Busted Open podcast as Ray and LaGreca discussed the possibility of someone else filling in for The Fiend.
Bully: “Who did he [Randy Orton] beat? Lot of people on social media said that was not Bray Wyatt. Are you buying into any of this?”
LaGreca: “Yeah, people are saying it might be Bo Dallas that was in that gear last night. I don’t know. I have to go back and watch it again to see if there was something different.”
But that doesn’t seem to be the case, really. Gary Cassidy, a wrestling journalist, did his research and posted why people were wrong to believe that Wyatt was replaced.
‘The Fiend’ even posted a cryptic photo after the end of WM 37 to give further insight into his complicated and fragile relationship with Alexa Bliss on the show.
This storyline does not seem to go away anytime soon, whether you like it or not.
