Rhea Ripley has had a very successful few months in WWE
WWE superstar Rhea Ripley has been promoted from NXT to the main roster very quickly, and as soon as coming, she has become the RAW women’s champion.
Ripley beat Asuka at WrestleMania 37 to win the belt. That is a moment pro wrestlers crave for all their lives and she has achieved it at the age of 24.
Following that, it seems that Ripley is in a feud with one of WWE’s greatest female wrestlers, Charlotte Flair. So, things have really been on the up for ‘The Nightmare’.
But Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca think that she is like a ‘deer in headlights’ at the moment in WWE as she looks out of place on the main roster.
The duo talked about Ripley’s first few months on the main roster in their latest episode of the Busted Open podcast.
And they were laying on Ripley for not knowing her identity on RAW, without cutting the youngster any slack. But Ray did suggest that there is one man that can get her out of this pickle.
“The number one thing that Rhea Ripley can do for herself right now, and I don’t know if she has done this yet. You wanna know how you find out who you are, Dave? You go knock on Vince’s door. You look him in the eyes and you say, ‘boss, who do you need me to be? and who am I? Because at the end of the day right now in WWE, you’re performing for an audience of 1. If Vince doesn’t like it, it’s not gonna be acceptable.”
That’s a pretty intense conversation to be having for a 24-year-old with the most powerful figure in pro wrestling, but it’s not that bad of an idea.
Ripley does look lost on the main roster and cannot pin down what kind of a persona she wants to assume.
But it’s still early days, and conversing with Vince or not, it’s too early to give a damning verdict on one of NXT’s best female wrestlers in recent memory.
