Most euphoric 9 seconds of my career” – Byron Saxton comments after winning and losing 24/7 title

Byron Saxton became a champion for the first time after getting his hands on the 24/7 championship on the November 8 episode of Monday Night Raw

Byron Saxton had a roller coaster of a night in the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. The famed WWE announcer became a champion for the first time in WWE.

Reigning WWE 24/7 Champion Reggie took on Drake Maverick in a singles match with his belt on the line.

Maverick won the match with the help of distraction. However, his reign was short-lived after Akira Tozawa rolled him up to get hold of the belt.

Then it was WWE Announcer Corey Graves’ turn to do the same. That was when Saxton did what Graves did to Tozawa, to get hold of a belt for the first time.

Sadly, for Saxton, his reign lasted just 9 seconds, before it was ended by Maverick who in turn gave up the belt to Reggie himself.

Taking to Twitter, Saxton had mixed feelings about ‘that wild night.’ Although he was a bit disappointed about things not ending his way, he felt accomplished since he pinned fellow announcer Graves.

Reggie the longest reigning WWE 24/7 champion is now in his second reign

Reggie headed into his match against Drake Maverick as the longest-reigning WWE 24/7 champion.

Although Reggie ended up getting the belt back, he would have certainly been dejected about having his longest-reign being curtailed.

It is worth noting that Reggie first became the champion on the 19th of July after beating Akira Tozawa.
