The WWE had plans of making American rapper Cardi B host their upcoming SummerSlam 2021
WWE SummerSlam 2021 is probably one of the most anticipated WWE pay-per-view events of the year. It is set to take place on the 21st of August at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
One of the oldest WWE PPV events ever, SummerSlam 34 will be taking place on a Saturday for the first time since 1992. It is also set to be the promotion’s first PPV to air in theatres.
Just one match has been confirmed for the event. It will be Raw Women’s champion Nikki A.S.H taking on Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley in a triple-threat match. This will be Nikki’s first title defense at a PPV event.
The promotion will soon be lining up the other matches as well.
It was recently reported that “WAP” star Cardi B would be hosting the SummerSlam 2021. Her recent single “Up” was announced as the theme song for SummerSlam as well.
However, Cardi B announced her pregnancy during the last week of June, which had put doubts about her hosting the event.
The latest development is that Cardi B might not be hosting the SummerSlam 2021 after all. This comes in the wake of her new court filing in which she has been advised to avoid travelling due to pregnancy.
The rapper is in the midst of a $75,000 lawsuit against blogger Tasha K. She is expected to give birth of couple of weeks after SummerSlam 2021, which also coincides with the date of the court trial.
Cardi B currently resides in Atlanta, and it looks unlikely that she would be flying all the way to Vegas.
