Sasha Banks got a rare win over Asuka at Survivor Series but also achieved a first at the PPV

Survivor Series 2020 saw two of the best female stars go head to head with Asuka taking on Sasha Banks.

Asuka came as the Raw Women’s Champion while Banks had only recently captured the SmackDown title from Bayley after a huge feud between them.

This isn’t the first time the pair had met but there was one incredible stat coming into this. While Banks had defeated Asuka in previous tag matches and even in singles competitions, she had never pinned her.

It is incredible to believe that one of the greatest female WWE stars had never pinned Asuka. However, all that changed at Survivor Series 2020 as The Boss finally recorded a singles pin victory over Asuka.

The match delivered too as they served up an instant classic but Carmella wasn’t all that pleased with all this.

Mella had also just made her return to SmackDown after a long lay-off and didn’t waste time to remind Banks that she had two wins over Asuka too.

Banks vs Carmella heating up

While Banks has been incredible since her return to SmackDown, Carmella has made The Boss her target.

The Princess of Staten Island has attacked Banks several times and did the same before Survivor Series too.

It is a surety that Carmella wants to regain the SmackDown Women’s title and will battle Banks soon. The Boss is in the form of her life but Mella would have a bit of a chip on her shoulder after missing so much of the year.

It will be interesting to see how Mella does as she has come out with a new gimmick. She hasn’t spoken much on SmackDown since returning but she has made her mark by attacking Banks time and again.
