Triple H lauds Carmelo Hayes ‘tenacity’ for facing Adam Cole on WWE NXT
WWE COO Triple H took to social media to praise the resillience of NXT Superstar Carmelo Hayes during his match against Adam Cole on Tuesday night.
Triple H spoke on Twitter saying, :
“Have to respect the tenacity of @Carmelo_WWE to challenge the longest-reigning #WWENXT Champion in history… …this tells me two things: this isn’t the last time we’ll see Carmelo Hayes … and @AdamColePro is ready for a fight at #NXTGAB!!!
Hayes provoked Cole to get an opportunity to face him. The match started with a fierce intensity and went back and forth.
It was Cole who stayed in control but Hayes showed his skill set putting his best out. Finally, Cole managed to get the upper hand and smell a victory. He delivered in the end comes with a Panama Sunrise. Cole was victorious, but made to work hard to earn it.
Triple H has seen the attitude on display from Hayes after a good tough fought match against Cole. He will be expecting to continue his run of impressive performances. On his debut, Hayes lost to Kushida in an open challenge for the WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
What makes Adam Cole one of the best on NXT?
Cole has been one of the top Superstars in NXT since his arrival in 2017. He was touted by many to be the second coming of the ‘HeartBreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels.
His accomplishments are second to none having been the longest reigning WWE NXT Champion in history surpassing the 292 day record of Finn Balor.
He has also won the NXT North American Championship and the NXT Tag Team Championship. The reigns of Cole have also been through some dominant defences of his title. Cole is now feuding with former teammate of The Undisputed Era Kyle O’Reilly.
Cole faces Reilly at the Great American Bash next month. He is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in WWE and a move to the main roster is not far from the cards.
