Cesaro is one of the finest wrestlers of the current generation and before leaving WWE he won many championships in the company.
The 41-year-old Cesaro left WWE after his contract expired earlier this year. This ended his 11-year tenure in the company. He had a lot of talent but most of the time he found himself in the mid-card. He wasn’t booked well enough and fans are looking forward to seeing where he heads up next.
There have been speculations of Cesaro being linked to Tony Khan’s AEW but the Swiss Superman is yet to make his appearance. AEW has acquired the services of some big names of WWE in recent times. CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Jeff Hardy are just a few names on a long list.
Cesaro was rumored to be making his debut this week on AEW Dynamite but it didn’t materialize. Instead, we saw the debut of former basketball player Satnam Singh on the show.
Cesaro changing his username could be a hint that his return to the ring might not be a long way away. We will have to wait and see where the immensely talented Cesaro ends up. However, it’s certain that if booked well, Cesaro has in him all the ingredients required to make it big wherever he goes.
Cesaro’s accomplishments in WWE
Cesaro was referred to as the “pound-for-pound the strongest wrestler in WWE” and it wasn’t difficult to believe. The Cesaro swing was something that captivated the WWE Universe as it required tremendous strength to pull off.
During his time in WWE, he won the United States Championship once. He became the RAW Tag Team Champion on five different occasions. Four times with Sheamus and once with Tyson Kidd.
The 41-year-old won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship twice. Once with Sheamus and another time with Shinsuke Nakamura. He also won the inaugural Andre the Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30 in 2014.
