Cesaro was left fuming as he hit back at Seth Rollins for attacking from the back on Smackdown.
Cesaro defeated Seth Rollins in his first-ever singles main event, at Wrestlemania 37. The Swiss Superman has often been overlooked by the WWE, but he proved his worth on a night he was given the ‘big-chance’.
The match turned out to be interesting as well, with a lot of high-flying, especially from Cesaro. He took Rollins on his trademark swing for about 23 rounds, as the match ended with Cesaro pinning Rollins after The Swiss executed a Neutralizer.
And, just yesterday, the first Smackdown since Wrestlemania 37 aired, and Cesaro took on Jey Uso.
Just as the match was progressing, Rollins appeared out of nowhere and struck the ‘King of Swing’, confronting him over his victory at Wrestlemania 37.
The match ended in a defeat for Jey Uso due to disqualification, but Cesaro was left fuming as he took to Twitter to hit back at ‘The Aerialist’ for his cheap shot.
Cesaro tweeted :
Now that Rollins has fanned the flames, it looks like the feud might go a long way in even reviving the WWE.
Pat McAfee debuts on Smackdown
Elsewhere, in the commentary box, Pat McAfee made his WWE commentary debut. He had posted 2 days ago that he had something coming up, before going on to reveal that he would be sharing the commentary panel headed by Michael Cole on Smackdown.
He was introduced at the beginning of the show by Michael Cole, and has replaced Corey Graves who has now gone to RAW.
The former football punter who is currently a podcaster has a history of appearing in the WWE. He had been an analyst in NXT’s Takeover events previously.
