Cesaro opens up on Seth Rollins “hurdle” he faces at WrestleMania 37

Cesaro and Seth Rollins are all set to meet at WrestleMania 37 this weekend

It seems Cesaro may finally get to have his WrestleMania moment after nearly a decade on the company’s main roster.

The Swiss professional wrestler is one of the fan favourites right now. But he has never quite received that push from the promotion throughout this career.

That all may change on Saturday when he faces Seth Rollins on the Grandest stage of them all; WrestleMania 37.

This is the first singles match at WrestleMania for ‘The Swiss Cyborg’ and the pressure would certainly be on him to make a point, especially amid rumours of him receiving a push after this.

And talking to Renee Paquette on her Oral Sessions podcast (h/t EWreslting.com) earlier this week, the WWE superstar admitted that this was the case.

On top of that, he feels that Rollins’ history of recent WrestleMania matches makes him a force to reckon with.

But he says he sees this ‘hurdle’ as a way to prove his worth. And he’s right there. A win against just anyone wouldn’t have the same effect as trumping someone like ‘The Architect’.

“This is my first singles match, and it’s against Seth Rollins, who has arguably one of the best runs in WrestleMania in recent history. So, that’s another hurdle to overcome. It’s a great and tremendous chance for me to prove my worth.”

The two have enjoyed a nice little rivalry on SmackDown ever since Rollins made his comeback.

He beat Cesaro’s tag team partner, Shinsuke Nakamura, before challenging Cesaro to a match at WrestleMania 37. It will be interesting to see how WWE plays this one out, as this might be the best opportunity for them give Cesaro a push.
