Charlotte Flair is selling off her Superstar Spectacle gear to help the Invisible Girl Project
WWE superstar Charlotte Flair is setting an example for others to follow by promising to make a sizeable donation to a charity which seeks to help discriminated girls in India.
She is auctioning off her gear that she wore at Superstar Spectacle, a special WWE event which aimed to celebrate the contribution of Indian culture to the promotion.
Flair teamed up with Sareena Sandhu to defeat Natalya and Bayley in a tag team match. And now, a lucky fan could own her gear from the fight, all while knowing that the money goes to a good cause.
The Invisible Girl Project is an organization that aims to provide help to girls in India, who have been discriminated against all their lives.
Charlotte Flair auctioning her gear is an important gesture to raise awareness
The selective bias against girl child has long been a problem in the subcontinent. This has often led to the female gender being inferior in almost all walks of life.
Flair’s gear is still on sale and a bid can be made on the project’s official website. Her gesture really goes a long way to give support to organizations such as this.
To have the backing of a world-famous star such as Charlotte, who is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, the issues confronting women in 21st Century India can be brought to the world’s knoweldge.
There is currently a $5,500 bid for the gear. There have been 7 bids as of now, but it is expected to increase in the coming hours as there is more than half a day left.
Charlotte tweeted about the action on her Twitter account and urged her fans to make the most of this opportunity.
She says this is one of the very few gears she would be auctioning. Let’s hope the bids could match Dustin Poirier’s auction of his UFC 257 gear.
