Becky Lynch is set to return to the WWE anytime soon
Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are some of the greatest modern-day women’s WWE wrestlers. Their rivalry dates back to 2016 Royal Rumble, which happened to be their first major match.
Then a triple threat match at WrestleMania 32 saw Flair, Lynch and Sasha Banks square off in a match that exceeded all expectations.
2018 saw them fight it out in a plethora of major encounters. Super Showdown, Evolution, TLC, SummerSlam, Hell in a Cell and a couple of other major events had a Flair vs Lynch contest.
Their rivalry can very much be compared to Trish Stratus and Lita’s rivalry back in the early and mid-2000s.
In a recent interview with the LA Times, Flair opened up on the fans always being on Lynch’s side when they both take centerstage.
Flair said that it was “natural for the fans to do that”, and that it never bothered her.
Here is what “The Queen” had to say:
“Given our history, and it’s been two years since our feud, everything happened when she turned on me at SummerSlam a couple of years ago. So, I think it’s natural for fans to do that and it doesn’t make sense to do it to anyone else. I like it because it allows me to play back with them. And I realize, if they aren’t reacting at all, that’s bad. It gives me a chance to play and have a cheeky line.” [via Ringsidenews]
Becky Lynch will return soon to the WWE
It has been over a year since Becky Lynch appeared in the WWE. Since May 2020, ‘The Man’ hasn’t stepped inside the ring.
Having given birth to a daughter in December 2020, Lynch has been on the road to return. She has been in incredible shape of late.
Her fiance Seth Rollins recently revealed that she would be returning soon to the promotion, but was not able to give an exact date for the same.
