WWE Superstar Elias spotted with a new look backstage
Elias is in for a significant change as he gets spotted backstage with a new look. According to Ringside News, He was seen backstage a few weeks ago with no beard and cropped hair.
However, it was earlier reported that the company turned down Elias’s new gimmick since he looked very much like “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
It was also noted that many have said that he did look like Savage with the beard, but now since he’s shaved the beard off, he no more looks like that. This was mainly the reason that the gimmick was shot down.
“Elias is a subject of conversation, but we have to shut down a report about WWE thinking he looks like Macho Man. We were told, “Elias was backstage a few weeks ago with no beard and cropped hair.” They didn’t nix a gimmick because he looked like Savage, because Elias shaved.”
Plans for Elias
WWE reported no actual plans for superstar Elias teaser vignettes that were aired back in the summer. However, several vignettes aired on RAW back in August where the superstar killed off his original character, leading up to the re-branding of the former WWE 24/7 Champion.
They killed off “musician” characters as it looked like WWE Hall of Famer Randy Savage, and since the time Elias was brought to the main roster, he has lost his nickname “The Drifter” and was re-branded as a new superstar.
It will be fascinating to see what is in store for the musician and how he actually looks with his new beard off looks whenever he makes an appearance.
