Chelsea Green pitched plans to join Alexa Bliss and The Fiend before exit
Speaking to Metro, former WWE Superstar Chelsea Green has revealed that she had pitched plans to join Alexa Bliss and The Fiend prior to her release from the company.
Green was one among the ten wrestlers that WWE released earlier this month due to budget cutbacks. Apart from her, the likes of Samoa Joe, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Mickie James were also let go of by WWE, days after WrestleMania 37.
Green was with WWE since 2018 and was set for a big push ahead of the Survivor Series PPV last year. However, she picked up a wrist injury on her debut match on SmackDown, leading to her getting sidelined.
And even though she penned a new contract with the company soon after, Green was released by WWE on April 15.
In the aforementioned interview, Chelsea Green has revealed that she had a lot of ideas to enter the Alexa Bliss – The Fiend programme. She felt that her ‘Hot Mess’ character from her IMPACT days would be a perfect into the entire angle.
“I was always trying to figure out a way to incorporate myself into that group because I felt like that was such an extension of the Hot Mess in so many different way. I felt the Hot Mess could fit in perfectly there!
“Then also, I do feel like that group, they’re so strong the two of them, but they’re almost missing that third person that can jump over to the women’s division. ‘Alexa’s the puppeteer, The Fiend’s the men’s side, so why can’t they have a woman to take over to the women’s division and then they’re taking over the entire show.”
Green even had an idea of teaming up with Bliss, as she expressed her love for Bliss’ new friend, “Lilly” the doll.
“Or then Alexa has a tag partner – there’s just so many different ways to spin it. Lilly is so creepy and I love it, and I just imagined myself with that hair, with that dress, with that makeup. I just could picture it the minute I saw it!”
It’s clear how passionate Green was about her career in WWE but unfortunately, things did not work out for her. Having been released, she has now started her new podcast “50 Shades of Green”.
She isn’t short of options if she wished to return to wrestling either, given her history with IMPACT, while AEW and ROH are also viable options.
