Bad Bunny made his WrestleMania debut last weekend and impressed one former WWE superstar
It has been months since Bad Bunny was signed by WWE, albeit on a temporary contract. It all started with his singing performance at Royal Rumble in January 2021.
But since then, the Latin singer has made appearances in and around the WWE ring. And his full debut in the promotion came at the grandest stage of them all.
A WWE fan since childhood, it was surely a dream come true for him as he partnered Damian Priest to take on their rivals, The Miz and John Morrison.
And none of this has been handed to him on a platter… well, at least not entirely. The Miz, in an interview with Uproxx, revealed the hard work behind Bunny’s WWE success.
“I don’t think any other celebrity has done the work he is doing. He literally came to a WWE ring and trained after winning a Grammy. He went to the Grammy’s, did a performance and then came to WWE ring the next day to train. This guy is dedicated and he’s hardworking.”
And the superstar won another fan in former WWE, and current AEW star, Chris Jericho, as ‘Y2J’ spoke about the singer on the latest episode of the Busted Open podcast.
“When I watched WrestleMania this year, it was great. But the coolest thing was Bad Bunny’s entrance. I’m like ‘that’s cool!’. That’s something that we (AEW) try and do, that sort of thing… people like that sh*t.”
Bunny arrived in a massive truck and ran off its top onto the ramp as he made his way into the ring.
What was more surprising that his entrance was actually backed by a pretty stellar performance inside the ring.
It looks like Bunny is more than just a face on a shirt that sells for WWE and the Grammy-winning musician just might be a part-time fighter on the show… who knows?
