Chris Jericho in awe of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson after sliding down the YouTube rabbit hole
How many times do we find ourselves on YouTube watching countless hours of pro wrestling videos when we only promised ourselves one clip?
Well, it seems like Chris Jericho can relate to us on that front. The former WWE star tweeted that he was down the YouTube rabbit hole watching videos of The Rock.
And he made sure to remind the WWE Universe that Dwayne Johnson might be a top Hollywood superstar today, but his in-ring skills should not be forgotten.
Johnson has been less and less active on WWE in the past decade and has focused his career on TV shows and movies.
Just a few weeks back, ‘Young Rock’ premiered to great ratings from fans and critics alike. In fact, it is doing much better than both SmackDown and RAW when it comes to viewership.
Chris Jericho reminds fans how great his former tag team partner The Rock was in WWE
But he was no slouch in WWE during his wrestling heyday. The 8-time WWE champion has been described by many as the greatest wrestler to ever step inside the ring.
And Jericho wanted to remind fans of exactly that, as he tweeted:
“Going down the @YouTube rabbit hole tonight and one thing is clear….he may be the biggest box office draw in Hollywood today, but my goodness, let’s not ever forget how GREAT @TheRock was in the ring. One of the best ever”
Jericho and The Rock were memorably part of a tag team back in 2001. Their run, however, was short-lived.
But nevertheless, the two captured the tag team title and held it for a single week from The Dudley Boyz before losing it to Booker T and Test. They also fought countless times against each other in the early 2000s, with the video above showcasing Jericho’s debut in a segment with The Rock.
