Former WWE Superstar CM Punk might join the AEW soon
The last time CM Punk stepped inside the ring, was at the 2014 Royal Rumble, where he was the first entrant at the Royal Rumble match.
He was eliminated by Kane, who had already been eliminated, and was choke slammed on the announce table.
Punk then retired from the sport, and left the promotion, in quite a distasteful manner, while also stating that he would never ever return to wrestling.
He then tried his hand in the UFC, but was largely unsuccessful. Since 2018, he has been a commentator in the Cage Fury Fighting Championships.
More recently, it looks like CM Punk might have hinted at a return to professional wrestling, AEW this time.
The former WWE champion took to Instagram Stories to post an instrumental audio clip of the song Sirius by the Alan Parsons Project.
The song was famous during the 90s since it was used by the Chicago Bulls during Michael Jordan’s prime.
A tweet of the same, shared by a fan on Twitter has been going viral.
AEW is headed to Chicago on the 5th of September
The AEW has its All Out PPV coming up.
It is scheduled to take place on the 5th of September in Chicago.
The latest development is that, Punk’s Instagram story has got fans and members from the pro-wrestling community believing that, he was hinting at a move to the AEW through a song that was symbolic of the Chicago Bulls in the 90s; with his debut on the 5th of September at All Out PPV.
