Former WWE superstar CM Punk recently came to professional wrestling after 7 years and chose All Elite Wrestling over WWE takes a dig at WWE over their WrestleMania attendance.
The AEW star responded to a tweet from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer (h/t Wrestling Inc.), saying the actual attendance of WrestleMania. After Meltzer mentioned that after the production of AEW moved in, many tickets are available for tomorrow’s Dynamite Grand Slam event. He noted that AEW could hold more than 20,000 fans for the event.
Punk Tweeted quite directly saying,

We all know that this is the number that was mentioned by WWE as the attendance for WrestleMania III at the Pontiac Silverdome, which was later speculated to be an exaggerated number.
WWE has been quite successful with the audience coming to show their event. They also set the record for the largest attendance for a live indoor sport in North America in 1987. In addition, they again set a new company record at WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium, which was 101,763.
AEW star CM Punk made his in-ring debut after seven long years at the AEW All Out against Darby Allin, which apparently he won.
In the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam show, Punk will face Powerhouse Hobbs, held at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. Punk will be looking forward to maintaining his winning streak in the AEW by defeating Hobbs in the Grand Slam.
