This week on RAW, the legendary John Cena made his return to what he calls his home. The last time the WWE Universe saw him inside a WWE ring was at SummerSlam last year. He failed to clinch the record for most world title reigns in WWE after suffering a loss to Roman Reigns.

The Hollywood star recently completed 20 years in WWE in June 2022. WWE has been celebrating the month of June as John Cena month. WWE advertised Cena’s return to RAW on the 27th of June a few weeks back. They mentioned that Cena would appear on WWE’s red brand to celebrate his 20-year journey with the Stamford-based company.

We saw WWE airing several video messages from legendary Superstars throughout the 27 June episode of RAW. They had some great words to say about the Leader of Cenation.

We saw messages of praise from the likes of Shawn Michaels, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Randy Orton, and Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Trish Stratus.

Video messages from AEW Superstars congratulating John Cena

It was great to see a few AEW Superstars, who previously plied their trade in WWE, also congratulating the 16-time world champion.

John Cena is rumoured to make a return on the WWE live tour in the summer.

Chris Jericho, Daniel Byran (Bryan Danielson in real life and in AEW), and Big Show (Paul Wight in real life and in AEW) have had some great matches with Cena over the years. They are all signed to Tony Khan’s company as of now. They congratulated the Doctor of Thuganomics upon completing 20 years in WWE. Their video messages were aired on RAW this week.

Cena might have been a homegrown Superstar of WWE but he is a pro wrestling icon. He is an inspiration for anyone who aspired to become successful inside the squared circle. Cena said during his promo on RAW that he will return to the ring but he did not give an exact date on when that could happen.
