Corey Graves believes Bobby Lashley could receive major boost in Drew McIntyre clash at WrestleMania
WrestleMania 37 is just a few days away. And one of the most talked-about fights is the headlining title fight between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre.
Lashley helped The Miz to get the belt off ‘The Chosen One’ before winning it from him on the very next episode of WWE RAW.
And since then, the feud between Lashley and McIntyre has heightened. Lashley even put a hit out for the Scotsman but he saw off any challenger that stood between him and the title.
While McIntyre is the face and the favourite to take home the title, Corey Graves thinks that this fight could make Lashley the breakout star of WrestleMania.
Graves was talking on the latest episode of WWE After the Bell podcast (h/t thesportster.com) when he stated that Lashley is resonating with WWE fans in a new way.
And he added the crowd reaction from Lashley at the event could really make the American wrestler one of the breakout stars of the PPV.
“I think Bobby Lashley right now, and I might be dead wrong, is resonating with fans in a different way. It’s a throwback but it’s fresh, it might be Bobby, Bobby might get one of the best ovations of anybody all weekend.”
He predicts this to happen by the way of fans expressing their anger at WWE for splitting The Hurt Business by cheering for Lashley.
And that can really take away the spotlight from McIntyre once again. The Scotsman won the WWE championship against Brock Lesnar at WM 36 in an empty arena.
But the fans are back in arenas now and he’d be hoping that he can have his ‘Mania moment now. That is if the fans let him have it and don’t get too carried away by their newfound love for Lashley!
