WWE Crown Jewel 2021 match card gets homeboy Mansoor’s match on the card
It has recently been announced that Saudi Arabia’s own Mansoor has been added to the WWE Crown Jewel 2021 match card. WWE announced on their Twitter handle that Mustafa Ali will be taking on Mansoor for a match at Crown Jewel.
The news hasn’t really shocked anyone as it was certain that Mansoor will get a match at Crown Jewel. Only thing that was in doubt was his opponent and now it has also been cleared that Ali will be taking on the Arab wrestler.
Mansoor has been a part of all the events that have taken place in Saudi Arabia since his arrival in the WWE back in 2018 ahead of the Greatest Royal Rumble. He even won the 51-man battle royal in the 2019 Super ShowDown which was also held in Saudi Arabia. Since then he has appeared in one Crown Jewel event and the 2020 Super ShowDown. He is also on a winning streak in the events held on his home soil.
The move is mainly business oriented as WWE aims to expand the reach of and diversify their audience. Promoting a home grown wrestler and making him wrestle in front of his beloved ones certainly adds to it’s motive.
