WWE star Dakota Kai is an avid gamer
Dakota Kai of WWE wants to star in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto (GTA) game.
While the next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise is yet to be formally announced by its developer Rockstar Games, that doesn’t stop those of us hungry for more trying to figure it out.
It’s been a whole seven years since GTA 5 launched on consoles. GTA 6 should be in the pipeline, and the latest rumours suggest that it could be on its way soon.
Although 2020 is halfway done, a release this year doesn’t seem likely, especially without any kind of announcement.
With the PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles coming at the tail end of the year, hopes are increasing that we might hear something from Rockstar sometime soon – even if a release date is likely to be a long way off.
Dakota Kai has put her name in the hat for a possible appearance.
During the War Games main event at NXT Takeover in November, Dakota Kai turned on long-time friend Tegan Nox.
Since then, Kai and Nox have locked into an intense rivalry where the expectation is that the victor should close in on an NXT women’s championship opportunity.
She said, “After WarGames, there was a lot of pressure for me to perform. I needed another element to take it to the next level, and Raquel was that piece. She’s the muscle, and that gave me so much more to play with inside the ring.”
Recently, when asked about the current pandemic, she said that life has turned upside down.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, WWE and its talent have become the flag bearers for the “whatever it takes” and “the show must go on” mentalities.
Pushing through has meant abandoning packed arenas, and broadcasting on closed sets with only essential personnel allowed in the building.
It has also meant adhering to safety measures put in place to limit the risk of exposure to the coronavirus. Talent and crew are required to wear masks at all times except for when they are performing on camera.
