Dave LaGreca unhappy that Raw trio are termed as Iconic

Asuka, Mandy Rose, and Dana appeared again in a tag team match this week on RAW

The 10th May 2021 episode of WWE Monday Night RAW saw the ‘Sexy Muscle Friends’, Asuka, Mandy Rose, and Dana Brooke unite again for a tag team match.

The trio has been a fun tag team to watch in the past few months. They beat Zelina Vega, Lana, and Natalya last year in October before their feud against Nia Jax and Shana Baszler heated up.

And on this week’s episode, they were up against the bad gals of the women’s division again in Jax, Baszler, and Charlotte Flair.

Lana (L), Asuka (R), and Mandy Rose have teamed up a few times on RAW in the past few months.

Flair and Asuka have had their little history when it comes to the RAW women’s championship while the other four are sworn enemies.

The 6 of them battled it out in a tag team match, and after a weird and unnecessary intervention by Alexa Bliss, the Sexy Muscle Friends emerged victorious.

Flair landed a big boot to Asuka after the bell but it didn’t change the fact that they lost. And after the match, one of WWE’s accounts posted a tweet referring the trio as ‘Iconic’.

Busted Open podcast member, Dave LaGreca, then quoted the tweet and asked the company to not refer to the three of them as ‘Iconic’.

We might be reading a little too deep into things but it still was a bit tone deaf from the WWE account considering they just brutally released ‘The IIconics’ from their roster last month.

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were fan favourites and the Australian duo leaving the promotion hit a lot of WWE fans right in the feels.

The IIconics left WWE earlier this year. (WWE)

And that is probably why LaGreca made this tweet as well, something which also gained a lot of approval from WWE fans in the reply section.
