Ready to Rumble is one of the greatest wrestling movies ever, something that Liv Morgan seems to concur

WWE star Liv Morgan is a huge fan of classic movie Ready to Rumble, and has tweeted about the same several times.

The movie stars David Arquette, Scot Caan and Oliver Platt in leading roles, and is about two youngsters (Arquette and Caan) teaming up with their favourite wrestling, Jimmy King (Platt).

It came out in 2000 and featured a ton of WCW stars from the day. While the movie wasn’t well-received by critics, the wrestling flick is still one of the funniest movies that any fan of the sport can watch.

Morgan tweeted that she wanted a sequel for the movie and possibly a role in it too. And Arquette was more than willing to be part of that.

Arquette also hit the nail on the head by saying that WWE owned half the rights, as they own all of WCW’s properties now.

There haven’t been too many fun movies with the top stars about wrestling these days, and Ready to Rumble 2 could be another hit.

A movie for the ages

Ready to Rumble featured the top stars such as Goldberg, Diamond Dallas Page, Sting, Randy Savage, Booker T, Rey Mysterio and a ton of other wrestlers.

The movie also captured the world of wrestling well, and Platt did a great job of portraying Jimmy King.

Ready to Rumble also featured a small role from John Cena, but he wasn’t a big wrestler at that time.

The movie might have aged a bit in these years. However, it is still a great watch for those who want a light-hearted wrestling flick.

Ready to Rumble wasn’t a box office success either. But wrestling fans would have a blast watching this.

Hopefully, WWE can create a sequel to the movie and Arquette gets to play a role.
