Jinder Mahal featured on WWE Main Event this week with Veer and Shanky
It was reported earlier that Jinder Mahal was seen in the Pre-RAW tapings of WWE Main Event alongside the two members of Indus Sher, Saurav Gurjar and Rinku Singh.
But that has not turned out to be the case. Jinder was seen coming out to the stage with Rinku Singh, but he is now called ‘Veer’ on the show.
As the report by WrestlingInc adds, WWE filed for a trademark for the name ‘VEER’ on May 3rd, indicating that the name change is permanent and here to stay.
Saurav, meanwhile, was not with Jinder and instead, the ‘Modern Day Maharaja’ was accompanied by Dilsher Shanky, whose name now is just ‘Shanky’.
Mahal went on to win that fight against Jeff Hardy. It is unclear if this team is going to a regular fixture or if it was just WWE testing them together once to see how they perform.
Jinder Mahal fights at Main Event for the first time after Superstar Spectacle
Mahal, Veer, and Shanky were all last seen on Superstar Spectacle which was shot by WWE back in January for their India audience.
There, Mahal teamed up with The Bollywood Boyz to lose to Drew McIntyre and Indus Sher. Dilsher was also in a tag team match of his own.
Now called just ‘Shanky’, he teamed up with Ricochet, Rey Mysterio, and Giant Zanjeer to beat Dolph Ziggler, King Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Cesaro.
Mahal’s match at Superstar Spectacle was his first fight since an injury back in May 2020. He has not been seen in action since.
But it seems like the former WWE champion is fit and raring to go again and hopefully we can see more of him on the main roster soon.
