The Rock had recently backed Dolph Ziggler to get the better of Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules

Dolph Ziggler took a shot at those who were questioning the Rock’s prediction for Extreme Rules.

Ziggler takes on Drew McIntyre for the WWE title and he has the advantage of choosing the stipulation too. The Show Off has been a thorn in McIntyre’s side for a while but he doesn’t have the same build as the champion.

However, WWE recently shared a picture of Ziggler carrying the title with the caption:

“A glimpse into the future?”

The Rock responded to this with a comment backing this up:

“I’d co-sign this decision [one-hundred percent]. Talented dude and always has a spark in his presentations.”

However, some fans couldn’t believe the Rock’s prediction and hit out at the People’s Champion. Ziggler isn’t one who takes things lightly and has hit out at fans on social media in the past. The Show Off did so once again as he tweeted his disdain at the critics:

“can you please untag me from your never-ending convo about me & how you know more than the rock about who’s good and who sucks at wrestling?”

The Rock is one of the greatest WWE stars ever and he must have seen something in Ziggler to back him up as a future champion.

However, it is worth reminding that Ziggler is a former WWE Champion and is one of the best heels in the business.

Ace up his sleeve at Extreme Rules

Ziggler does have the advantage over McIntyre due to him choosing a stipulation at Extreme Rules. However, it won’t be an easy clash for the Show Off. He is trying to use mind games as he hasn’t revealed the stipulation yet.

McIntyre, for his part, has been excellent since winning the Royal Rumble. He beat Brock Lesnar for the title and has also defended it against Seth Rollins, Big Show and Bobby Lashley.
