Drew McIntyre uses book sales as latest barb to Tyson Fury

Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury in a war of words on social media… again

In the past few months, WWE superstar Drew McIntyre and British boxing legend Tyson Fury have been going at each other on social media.

It seems to be a ploy by the two to set the base for a possible future meeting inside the WWE ring. And we say a WWE ring instead of a boxing ring because, well…

Just recently, McIntyre spoke in an interview regarding a possible ‘Battle of Britain’ clash with Fury and said that he sees a future fight happening.

“It’s going to happen. The thing is he has a genuine love for wrestling and he’s such an entertainer, he gets it. I know we could do some fun business together. Probably some kind of Battle of Britain would be the theme.”

And of course, Fury took a notice of that, putting up a video of his own. In his tweet, he is heard challenging McIntyre to a fight and threatens that he will drop him quicker than he dropped Braun Strowman.

‘The Chosen One’ replied to that callout by posting a screenshot of his book sales on Amazon which seems to be doing better than Tyson Fury’s ‘The Furious Method’.

His caption to that photo read, “Always in my shadow you dosser[Clown face emoji]”. McIntyre released his autobiography ‘A Chosen Destiny: My Story‘ for sale earlier this April.

Getting Fury on WWE would be a great marketing move by the promotion and from Fury’s eagerness in the above video, it’s visible that he wants it as well.

For now Fury has Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder to worry about next. The Britisher is yet to lose a bout in 31 tries and would hope to keep that streak alive, whosoever he faces next.

As for McIntyre, he will aim to reclaim his WWE championship at WrestleMania backlash next month when he faces champion Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match.
