Former WWE Superstar Braun Strowman apologized to Drew McIntyre for botched move
Former WWE Champion Braun Strowman has apologized for his stiff move during a match with Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania Backlash earlier this year.
Strowman shared a video on Instagram where he attempted an inverted splash on McIntyre, which clearly lands badly on the Scotsman. The caption read:
“Gravity is a bitch sometimes.”
The former WWE star also posted some hashtags which suggested that McIntyre might have pooped after the move, and The Monster was also a little stiff.
Strowman had suffered broken ribs after the move, which was incidentally from his last WWE match. He was shockingly released from WWE on June 2 due to budget cuts in the company. He was reportedly earning close to $1 million a year, making him among the highest paid.
Strowman then hilariously suggested that the move which injured him could have made McIntyre ‘poop’ due to the impact. The match was a Triple Threat Match between Strowman, McIntyre and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
Lashley retained the title, but continued a 1-on-1 rivalry with Drew McIntyre uptil a month ago. He is set to face Goldberg at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship.
‘The Monster Among Men” posted a cryptic tweet which suggested that he has multiple offers from wrestling promotions including AEW. There are even rumours of him re-signing for WWE, after the 90-day no compete clause.
Strowman would be a massive coup if he were to sign for AEW amidst their growing roster which sees no stopping.
AEW have already signed several former WWE talents such as Aleister Black, now being called Malakai Black, and Rusev, who is now being called Miro.
Another latest ex-WWE signing is Andrade el Idolo and he has Chavo Guerrero by his side now, who is also a former WWE star.
