WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre says that Broken Dreams theme will return soon
Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has admitted that he would love to bring back the theme song from his younger days – Broken Dreams.
The song was played for McIntyre’s entrance music in his early days with the company, mainly featuring on WWE SmackDown.
“Okay, one of these days that music is going to come back because I hear this question all the time. I see it every day on social media. One of these days I’m going to get it approved. I’m going to have it for a show. I’m positive we still have the rights to it and I’m going to convince management to let me use it.”
“Everybody in the crowd better know the words to that song because if I go out there and everybody is like, ‘what’s that?’ then I’m going to be let down. So, everybody start learning the lyrics because eventually I will get that song.”
McIntyre was a part of WWE from 2007-2014 before being released by the company. He was always tipped to make it big but had failed bookings eventually forming the faction 3MB with Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater.
His rise came after impressive showings in ICW, PWG and Evolve post his release. Vince McMahon decided to bring back the star after his stock grew considerably.
McIntyre won his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 when he beat Brock Lesnar for the title.
Despite three consecutive losses to WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in the last few months, McIntyre is still part of the big picture as per reports. He is part of the Money in the Bank ladder match, but things are expected to change drastically this year.
There are rumors that McIntyre will get drafted to WWE SmackDown on the August 30th and September 3rd editions of the WWE Draft 2021. This is going to be done to set up a possible feud with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
The two faced off at WWE Survivor Series 2020, where Reigns won but a continuation of this chapter will be on every fan’s mind.
