WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre appeared on Global Citizen Live to deliver an impactful message

Drew McIntyre was in Paris this past weekend to deliver an important message at the Global Citizen Live. Recently McIntyre also took to Twitter to share how he felt speaking at such an impactful event. The former WWE Champion said:

“This was one of the great honors of my career, speaking at #GlobalCitizenLive. To be a part of such an important event that took place on 6 different continents is mind blowing. Please take 90 seconds to listen to this message.”

It truly is an honor to be present at the Global Citizen and more so if you get the opportunity to speak on it. McIntyre was seemingly grateful to have also got the opportunity to do so.

“Without urging climate actions, future generations will live in a hotter, poorer and sicker planet. But this isn’t just a problem for the future. Our climate is already in code red, rising sea levels, droughts and extreme storms are already affecting hundreds of millions globally. Particularly women and girls who are more likely to live in poverty because they lack critical access to resources like education, proper nutrition and fair pay.”

It is no surprise that climate change has already started to affect millions of lives around the world. If not acted upon quickly the earth is on it’s way to become an undesirable planet to live in for the future generations.

Global Citizen aims to defend the planet and also defeat poverty. With the presence of celebrities like McIntyre himself, it aims to push the narrative of making earth a better place.
