WWE star Drew McIntyre shows his soft spot for football as he shares photo of wrestlers as Premier League clubs

WWE champion Drew McIntyre is an avid football fan. The Scotsman, born and brought up in the United Kingdom, is a die-hard Glasgow Rangers fan.

However, he seems to be following the Premier League too. This year’s Premier League season has been like no other.

With just over half the campaign already over, a lot of teams are in the running for the title. Or at least were, until a couple of weeks ago.

Manchester City have pulled clear at the top of the table, but it is incredibly close between clubs in the top half of the table. A string of wins for any club can see them in the title conversation.

In light of this, ‘The Chosen One’ shared a photo which depicted a number of WWE stars as Premier League clubs. Most of them seem to be the clubs these stars are fan of in real life.

Drew McIntyre combines Premier League with WWE

For example, Sheamus is shown wearing a Liverpool shirt, and he is one of the famous celebrity fans of the Merseyside club.

Cesaro is in a Manchester City kit, something that the ‘Celtic Warrior’ would quite funny himself. Dolph Ziggler is in an Aston Villa kit, quite fitting as his star power has decreased in recent years.

Rey Mysterio is wearing a Tottenham Hotspur top which does not really go with him considering he is laden with titles at WWE.

Braun Strowman is sporting a Leicester City home kit, which really goes with his rise in recent years after being under the radar in his starting years.

It’s a tiring task if we sit down to dissect each one of them, but which wrestler do you think goes best with his Premier League kit in the photo?
