Drew McIntyre comes up with a hilarious nickname for himself after helping New Day win on Monday Night RAW
Kofi Kingston was the surprise responder to Bobby Lashley’s open challenge on this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW.
The Hurt Business member beat Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania Backlash. Now, he wanted a different opponent.
And he got one in the Ghanaian, who had already beaten Randy Orton earlier that night. Kofi managed to win via a roll up pin after Drew McIntyre lent him a little helping hand.
‘The Chosen One’ sided with the New Day member as he could not himself take on ‘The Almighty’ Bobby Lashley himself.
Kofi and McIntyre actually go way back, with their first, most notable encounter coming in 2010 for the WWE Intercontinental title.
Drew McIntyre helps Kofi Kingston and comes up with a hilarious nickname for himself
While the match was going on, MVP was all set to attack Kingston with his cane. That was until McIntyre got a hold of it.
His intervention sent Lashley straight into the path of Kingston, who was on hand to make the pin. After the match, McIntyre posted a photo with the victors and called himself ‘Big D’, something which raised eyebrows of WWE fans in the reply secion.
His tweet read, “Big D is always there for the lads!!! Congrats, @TrueKofi#DrewDayRocks“. He was even asked by a fan to reconsider that nickname, to which he replied saying he won’t.
McIntyre posted a photo of himself in New Day’s colours, probably thinking that the fan meant that he should reconsider the ‘Drew Day’ nickname instead of Big D.
Well, no one tell him then. Hopefully this becomes a thing and McIntyre blurts it out on TV one day. Major Adam Pearce vibes.
