Drew McIntyre might have fought some big bad guys, but no one scared him more than Graeme Souness

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre was on TalkSPORT earlier this week. The wrestler was joined by former Rangers player Ally McCoist to celebrate The Gers’ 55th title win.

He discussed how he celebrated Rangers’ 55th title win at his house. McIntyre, who lives in the USA, said he could have not started partying at 10 in the morning.

So he said that he went to the gym inside his house and put on a VHS tape of ‘The Real McCoist’. He recalled how he used to watch it religiously.

“I used to watch ‘The Real McCoist’ religiously. I had the old VHS, so I thought I’m going to put it on and see what it’s like. I watched it all the way through and there’s so many jokes that went over my head when I was a kid. I was loving every second of it.”

Drew McIntyre says Graeme Souness scared him more than Brock Lesnar

And at this point, he adds that Graeme Souness, who was the Rangers’ player-manager between 1986-1991, was the person he was terrified of the most, in part because of Souness’ iconic moustache.

“I remembered, there was one person I feared more than anyone, and I have fought a few scary guys. I beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania last year and the man I was scared of when I was younger was Graeme Souness. Souness and that murder stache of his. I’m terrified of him.”

He then joked that it was all down to McCoist, who spoke of how terrifying Souness could be when he was the manager of the blue team in Glasgow.

McIntyre, who was born in Scotland, recently lost his WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber.

But it is expected that he will challenge Bobby Lashley for the belt (or whoever wins it from him) at WrestleMania 37 in April.
