Drew McIntyre hit out at a fake fact about Seth Rollins
WWE champion Drew McIntyre has issued a hilarious response to a claim made by a Twitter account pertaining to Seth Rollins.
The account is known for sharing stats and facts about the pro-wrestling world but made a major gaffe. In a tweet, they claimed that WWE superstar Seth Rollins is the only man in history to win the FCW, NXT and the WWE World Heavyweight Championships.
However, the claim made by Wrestling Facts was far from the truth as Rollins isn’t the only wrestler to have won the three championships. In fact, current WWE champion Drew McIntyre has also held all the three titles in his career.
Indeed, the Scotsman held the FCW Heavyweight Championship back in 2009 during his first stint with WWE.
Early in the second stint with the promotion in 2017, McIntyre went onto win the NXT Championship, before he completed the trifecta earlier this year, having beaten Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36.
So, naturally, not impressed by the claim made by the account, the WWE champion posted a hilarious message on Twitter.
Rollins may not be the only one to hold the three championships, but he is the first one to do so.
The Monday Night Messiah is currently involved in a rivalry with Rey Mysterio, while McIntyre is working an angle with Dolph Ziggler. It should only be a matter of time before the two end up in a Championship feud.
McIntyre and Ziggler meet for the WWE title at Extreme Rules, and it will be interesting to see if the Scot can keep his title.
