Drew McIntyre can’t wait to attend WrestleMania 37 with fans finally in attendance
WWE fans are ready to be back in attendance as WrestleMania 37 tickets went live on sale on Friday. The PPV takes place on April 10th and 11th and Drew McIntyre cannot wait for it.
Due to the Covi-19 pandemic last year, sporting events were not allowed to have fans inside the stadium.
WWE decided to combat this issue by setting up giant screens inside the stadium where fans could attend via a video call. But that was not the same and a void is still left at events.
The pandemic is still not over but restrictions are being loosened across the globe as the world learns to combat and live with the threat of the coronavirus.
And the former WWE champion was over the moon with having the ‘secret sauce’ of WWE back in the mix as he spoke to WFLA.
“We have our fans back virtually. We can hear them over the speakers. It’s so cool to see them on the screens reacting, but there’s nothing like our fans being there live. Our WWE Universe. Our secret sauce, they’re our number one Superstar, they create that atmosphere that’s so unique to WWE.”
Drew McIntyre to get a title shot at WrestleMania 37 in front of fans
‘The Chosen One’ also mentioned that it’s going to sound like there are 200,000 fans inside the stadium because the noise would be so loud.
“They have been kept away from what they love for over a year. There’s a lot of pent-up reactions that are going to come out at WrestleMania. It’s going to be loud. There might only be 25,000 limited capacity…but it’s going to sound like 200,000 people on April 10 and 11 at Raymond James Stadium,”
The actual amount of fans inside the Raymond James stadium would, of course, be around 25,000. And they might get to see McIntyre reclaim his WWE title.
The Scotsman won the belt last year at WrestleMania 36 against Brock Lesnar in an empty arena. He just might get his moment in front of the fans this year.
McIntyre is all set to take on current champion, Bobby Lashley, at WrestleMania 37. The Scotsman lost his title to The Miz at Elimination Chamber, who then lost it to Lashley on the very next episode of Monday Night RAW.
