The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre is one of the most loved wrestlers in WWE at the moment. He recently defeated Sami Zayn last week on SmackDown in a Steel Cage match.
The former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre didn’t have a memorable time during his first stint in the company, but since he has been re-signed, he has gone from strength to strength.
In a video released on WWE’s official Youtube channel, Drew shared his mental health story. In the video which lasts just over thirty seconds, Drew revealed how he kept things to himself when he was younger. He said he felt much better when he gradually started to open up to his group of friends.
“When I was younger, I kept everything inside, it wasn’t healthy. It bubbled over, affected my life. As soon as I was open and honest and I was able to let everybody within my support group know how I was feeling, that built my mind back to where it needed to be. And I’ve had a few friends reach out and gonna tell me they’re not in a good place, it’s not easy as a guy, especially, being open and realizing that that’s true strength.”
Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns are two of the top superstars in WWE currently. They were initially not on the WrestleMania Backlash card but later a match was changed to facilitate the Tribal Chief and the Scottish Warrior to feature on the show.
RK-Bro and The Usos were scheduled to have a Tag Team Championship Unification match at WrestleMania Backlash. However, that match was changed last week on SmackDown after Drew McIntyre helped RK-Bro to fend off The Bloodline.
Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns are reportedly going to be involved in a feud that is going to go on for a couple of months at least.
