Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre hits back at fans’ criticism

After winning the WWE Championship against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36, the Scottish Superstar has been in the title picture and put his name on the map.

Drew McIntyre has been part of the Championship scene ever since the 2020 Royal Rumble and keeps impressing.

McIntyre and Lashley have been at loggerheads for a long time to be WWE Champion

McIntyre was unfortunate to have empty arenas during his first reign, but that didn’t faze him as he looks forward to regaining it for the third time.

McIntyre is to face Bobby Lashley at Hell in a Cell and told FOX Sports how some fans might not be happy seeing him all the time:

“I understand some fans may be like, ‘Ugh, I’d like a new fresh face in the picture. Realistically, I have been fighting for the title, or been champion, for over a year now – which is a pretty significant time – but I don’t think anyone is saying, ‘Oh my goodness, Drew’s not working as hard as he can to give us the best matches possible and do the best he can with every interview possible.’ I think it’s more, ‘I would like to see something different here and see Drew do something different over here.’”

McIntyre is a two-time WWE Champion including a first at WrestleMania 36 against Brock Lesnar

McIntyre has been unfortunate after losing the title to The Miz, who cashed in his Money in the Bank earlier this year. He lost to current champ Lashley at WrestleMania 37 and WrestleMania Backlash. The Scottish Psychopath receives one final shot against Lashley at Hell in a Cell.

McIntyre vs Lashley III

After two successive losses against the All Mighty Bobby Lashley, McIntyre gets his last shot to regain the gold and become a 3-time WWE Champion.

The two have been the outright stars on WWE Raw with good promos and matches. MVP is a massive addition to Lashley’s title reign and he is one reason for the All Mighty being the dominant champion.

McIntyre will be confident after delivering a Claymore to Lashley on this week’s WWE Raw before Hell in a Cell. The meeting between the two heavyweights is going to reach another level as all ‘hell’ is about to break loose.
