WWE superstar Drew McIntyre releases his book, ‘A Chosen Destiny’

Drew McIntyre invoked the author in the last few months when he penned his autobiography. And staying true to his nickname, he titled it, ‘A Chosen Destiny’.

After much hype around the book this year, it was released and made available for sale on Thursday, April 22nd.

The book is believed to be 288 pages long and hardcover apparently costs up to $27. Its intro on Simon & Schuster’s website says:

“In this thrilling, no-holds-barred memoir, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre tells the incredible roller-coaster story of his life, from a small village in Ayrshire, Scotland, to the bright lights of WWE.”

It seems like a book worth getting your hands considering Drew reveals it all; how he rose as a 22-year-old, how he fell due to trouble at home, and how he made his comeback to become the WWE champion.

Drew McIntyre reveals Mick Foley’s book was the first one he read cover to cover

What followed the launch was some pleasant PR work from McIntyre. The Scotsman was discussing his book with the Scottish Sun and touched upon his love for books as a kid.

He revealed that Mick Foley’s ‘Have A Nice Day’ was the first book he read from start to finish, but it was not the only.

“The first book I ever read cover to cover was Mick Foley’s Have A Nice Day. Then I read any wrestling autobiography I could get my hands on.”

The 35-year-old recalled how he was completely engrossed in WWE books, which even included a workout book from Triple H, and how he hopes his autobiography can give the same experience to a young WWE fan now.

“I can picture myself at the Carlton Hotel behind the bar in Ayr with my university book opened up but with Triple H’s workout book behind it. Then someone coming up and asking for a pint and me looking at them in disgust because they disturbed me from my wrestling book. It’s wild that years later I now have one of those books. I wonder if there is a kid in Scotland right now that’s perhaps going to get my book and do the same thing reading about my journey.”
