Karl Anderson hits out at claims that The O.C. is rejoining WWE

Former WWE superstar Karl Anderson has lashed out at reports claiming that The O.C. are set to rejoin the promotion.

Anderson, along with long-time tag team partner Luke Gallows, were among the host of wrestlers that were released on April 15th, a day that is now widely referred to as Black Wednesday.

Earlier this month, reports emerged that WWE were offering contracts to some of the released superstars. These speculations only emerged after Impact Wrestling teased the signing of some of the wrestlers, including Gallows and Anderson.

Naturally, the speculation got fans talking, one Twitter user went on to predict that The O.C. could make a return to WWE next month.

Reacting to the post, Anderson hit out at the rumours, ruling out a return to the promotion.

The Good Brothers’ exit from WWE was unexpected and something that fellow O.C. member AJ Styles didn’t take too well. However, a return to Vince McMahon’s promotion can pretty much be ruled out at this point after Anderson’s comments.

Both Anderson and Gallows were featured on Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary tease, along with quite a few other former WWE wrestlers. Most of the performers released by WWE had a 90-day non-compete clause. Interestingly, Impact’s PPV is scheduled three days after that clause expires.

However, a return to New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) has also been strongly mooted for Anderson and Gallows. It remains to be seen what the duo take up next, but one thing seems clear – a return to WWE is not on the top of their list.
