Former WWE legend believes Edge could be close to retirement after a second comeback

Booker T believes that former WWE Champion Edge is close to retirement after returning last year.

Edge made a rampant return to SmackDown this week

The former King of the Ring believes that the old schoolers returning is very exciting for the company including John Cena. Edge is involved in a title battle with Roman Reigns and while The Rated-R Superstar is looking in great shape, T doesn’t think there is a lot left in the tank.

Talking on The Hall Of Fame podcast, he says: (h/t Rajah.com)

“Of course I am. Edge is trying to finish the thing, more than anything. I can feel where he’s coming from. Was it one of those eyebrow raisers? I think so. I think the people are like, ‘Oh yea. We have something here, baby.’ One thing about the old school, it isn’t dead yet.Edge right now is getting himself in the best shape he possibly can, going out there and saying, ‘Hey man. Let’s do this.”

“Let’s run it. Let’s run it back.’ I like that. Let’s see exactly what Edge still has left in the tank, because we all know this is Edge’s last hurrah.”

The WWE legend also believes that the rumors of Rock and John Cena returning is good for the sport and has maximum interest of the fans.
