Edge compliments MVP after his WWE return earlier this year
Montel Vontavious Porter, AKA ‘MVP’ made his comeback at WWE Royal Rumble last year as the #12 entrant.
This marked the first in-ring appearance for him in 10 years. And since then, it has only been getting better for the 47-year-old.
And Edge acknowledged the progress that MVP has been making. ‘The Rated R Superstar’ quoted a tweet from a fan and mentioned that MVP’s return has been great for the promotion.
“And you have no idea what MVP and the rest of Hurt Business have actually pulled off. He’s a credit to the business, a mentor to those around him, and an example of always betting on yourself. He just makes WWE better.”
Edge mentioned that apart from being a good wrestler, MVP is a credit to the sport as a whole and a great mentor to those around him.
The two have seamlessly slotted in the main roster after being out of action for almost a decade before their in-ring returns.
Edge and MVP have done well since their WWE return
The two returned to the ring at Royal Rumble 2020. And since then, the two have been on the rise.
Edge won the Rumble in January and is now scheduled to take on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37 for the WWE Universal title.
MVP, on the other hand, is head of The Hurt Business, which has become one of the most successful stables on the show.
Recently, Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship and MVP had a role to play in that as well.
MVP himself won the CBS Sports Comeback Wrestler of the Year and PWI’s Comeback of the Year, both in 2020. He is largely on the management side of things in THB but has been involved in a fair bit of action inside the ring as well.
