Edge picked up an injury while clashing against Randy Orton at WWE Backlash

WWE star Edge might be out of action for now, but the former champion hasn’t given up on his dreams for the promotion.

The Canadian shocked the world when he made his return at the 2020 Royal Rumble. He was unable to win the match, but he did set up a huge battle with Randy Orton till WrestleMania 36.

Edge won that clash and they continued feuding till Backlash. However, Edge suffered a torn triceps and was expected to be out for up to eight months.

The Rated-R Superstar is currently undergoing rehabilitation but that hasn’t affected his motivation.

He turned the clock back by sharing a picture of his attack on Elias from 2019. It was on 11 August 2019 that Edge made his proper WWE return as he attacked Elias at SummerSlam.

While the Rated-R Superstar will be out for a few more months, he promised there was more to come from him as he wanted to climb another mountain:

Edge promised that his rivalry with Orton wasn’t done as it was the Viper got the win at Backlash.

Orton is now in a battle with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and the pair meet at SummerSlam. The Viper winning the title cannot be ruled out and that could see Edge make his return and take on his rival later on.

However, Edge is on a limited schedule and cannot wrestle regularly like some of the other top stars. Nevertheless, if the Rated-R Superstar is made the champion again no one would be upset with this.

The Canadian had to retire when he was in his prime due to injuries and hopefully, he returns to action sooner rather than later.
