Edge talks about hanging up his boots as he teams up with Rey Mysterio next week

Former WWE Champion Edge has revealed that he does not know how long he will continue with wrestling as he partners Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominik, next week.

Edge posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram for legend Rey Mysterio after he returned with his son, Dominik Mysterio:

“This Friday I get to do something I never thought I’d do again. Share a ring with @619iamlucha and team with his son @dominik_35 for the first time ever. I don’t want this to get too syrupy but let’s face it, I don’t know how much longer Rey or I do this crazy thing called wrestling. I do know the window is closing.

“We’ve been through a lot together over the years. We’ve won tag team titles together, battled each other(one of my favorite opponents), laughed until we cried and lost dear friends. But I know that chemistry we’ve had since day one will still be there. Rey is a living legend. And to be here for even a tiny part of Dom’s ride? Man, I’m so proud to go out there with them. In front of our people. Finally. Can’t wait Houston. Can’t wait.”

Edge and Mysterio have spent over three decades in wrestling and know each other very well during their time together. Mysterio is a current WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion and has a long list of accolades with the company. Edge, who has won 12 World titles returned after his first retirement in 2011, due to multiple neck injuries.

Will Edge reign supreme on Sunday?

Edge returned and now has a shot at the Universal title against Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank. The Rated-R Superstar was unsuccessful in his last attempt at WrestleMania 37, where Reigns was victorious.

Edge is in an unrelenting mood after torturing Jimmy Uso and goes into the match with full confidence. Reigns, meanwhile is the dominant face of the company and has held the title since August 2020.

It will be a mouthwatering clash as the two collide on Sunday, but only one will come out as the undisputed winner.
