WWE Superstar Edge shared an inspiring message for a brave young fan of his
Edge’s recent message on Twitter has been winning hearts. The WWE veteran took to Twitter to post a video showering a young fan with words of encouragement and praise after she had undergone brain surgery.
The 18-year old fan named Marly is known to be a massive fan of the Edge. Following the surgery, her father had decided to surprise her with a message from the Edge himself.
Marly’s father Scott Rand had posted a tweet detailing the tedious surgery his daughter had undergone after a benign mass wrapped around her brain stem.
Rand had also tagged Edge hoping for some words of encouragement from his daughter’s hero.
Edge proclaimed that he had become a bigger fan of her after going through her painful journey. ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ encouraged her to keep fighting and promised to meet her once the WWE was open for the fans.
Edge said:
“Marly, I saw your dad’s tweet about you having a nine-hour surgery around your brain stem which sounds so scary but I am so glad you’re recuperating and he told me that you’ve been a fan of mine for half your life and you’re 18 now. But I gotta say, hearing that, I’m a bigger fan of you. Way to go. Keep fighting, keep your head up. I know that all sounds cliche but stay strong and I don’t know you, but I couldn’t be more proud of you and I can tell your dad is too. So, hopefully, now that WWE is getting back on the road, maybe we can meet each other some day. I think that’d be pretty cool. Alright. Keep fighting kiddo.”
Edge is currently 47 years old now. He might not probably have a lot left in his tank, and former WWE Superstar Booker T feels the same.
Speaking in an episode of The Hall Of Fame podcast, he said:
“Let’s run it. Let’s run it back.’ I like that. Let’s see exactly what Edge still has left in the tank, because we all know this is Edge’s last hurrah.” (h/t Rajah.com)
