Edge was on a mega road trip after winning the WWE Royal Rumble and featuring on Raw, SmackDown and NXT
WWE legend Edge has been clocking up the miles as he featured on all three brands this week. Edge won the 2021 Royal Rumble after entering as No.1 and now has a shot at any of the top titles in the business.
That clash will be at WrestleMania 37 and Edge hasn’t made his decision yet. While Raw and SmackDown take place in the same arena, NXT takes place in another location.
Edge was left to travel a lot between the arenas and posted just how taxing it all had been on his body.
“Finally home! What a week. 1500 miles driven. Royal Rumble. Raw. NXT. Smackdown. 80 minutes in the ring in 2 days”
The Rated-R Superstar also spoke about how his body felt after all this and couldn’t wait for WrestleMania.
“Feel like I went 12 rounds against a tag team of a grizzly bear and a silverback, but somehow still I feel better than I thought I would. WrestleMania main event, here I come.”
This isn’t the same Edge we had a decade back and it is natural that his body would feel the effects of this gruelling travel schedule.
Edge also was in the Royal Rumble for just under an hour and that is testament to his incredible shape. He survived that and was back in a match against Randy Orton next night on Raw.
The WWE star won that clash and then travelled to NXT where he confronted Finn Balor and Pete Dunne. He wasn’t done yet as he then went to SmackDown and got in the face of Roman Reigns before Kevin Owens attacked the Universal Champion.
Edge can challenge any one of Balor, Reigns or WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre. McIntyre or Reigns taking on Edge would be great at WrestleMania 37 and WWE seem to be wanting to set up one of the fights.
Reports suggest that the fight to make is Edge vs Reigns and it is to be seen when this gets confirmed.
