More details have emerged on the incident which involved WWE superstar Seth Rollins get attacked by a fan named Elisah Spencer. Spencer jumped over the barricades to attack the Messiah who was headed backstage.
Further details have now emerged which have revealed the reason behind Spencer’s attack. It turns out, the WWE fan was scammed by a guy who pretended to be Rollins online which also led him to buy Amazon gift cards.
The fan was scammed online by a person who impersonated to be the WWE superstar. Spencer thought it was a good idea to take out his frustrations on the real Rollins after falling into a trap set up by a fake one.
What happened to Elisah Spencer after he attacked Seth Rollins?
WWE turned Spencer over to the New York Police Department who took him into custody. It was later reported that Spencer who is 24 years old will be charged on several accounts. The 24-year-old has been charged with attempted assault and also attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs (disrupting a live sporting event).
Further details on the same are yet to be revealed. Further legal proceedings involving Spencer and his charges have not been revealed to the public yet. However, it is certain that Spencer will be banned from attending the WWE events for life. Moreover, he will also be banned from the Barclays Center, where the WWE Raw was being held.
