Eva Marie responds to speculation she won’t wrestle on WWE
Taking to Twitter, WWE Superstar Eva Marie has issued a strong response to speculations she won’t be wrestling following her recent return.
Eva Marie returned to WWE last year, after having quit the company and pro-wrestling back in 2017.
Even though she had signed a contract with the company towards the end of 2020, her on-screen re-debut was held back until May, when she appeared on RAW via a vignette, promoting the “Eva-lution”.
Her vignette appearances have largely hinted that WWE might be leading her into a more of a managerial role for some other superstars. This was backed up by a recent report claiming that WWE weren’t planning on reintroducing Eva Marie into the ring.
Eva Marie quashes speculations of her not wrestling on WWE
However, Eva Marie has quickly shutdown all such rumours of her not returning to in-ring action in her latest vignette which she posted on Twitter.
The short video, which was posted with the caption “For all the clowns who said I’m not coming back to wrestle!”, sees Eva Marie being put through the paces in the ring clearly indicating that she is, in fact, going to wrestle at some point following her return.
“WWE is where everything took off for me. It’s where my journey to greatness started, but there came a point where I needed to take a break and find myself. I needed to see how my hard work and dedication could apply to other aspiration, and what I learned from my time away is that life is going to knock you down.
“Like in the ring, it takes courage to keep getting back up. You have to fight to earn your way into WWE, and you have to fight for what you want in life. So, I’m back to finish what I started, and not only will I be a voice for myself, but I’m here to be a voice for the Superstars of WWE. This is ‘Eva-lution.’”
Eva Marie wasn’t particularly known for her wrestling acumen during her past runs with the company. But, the vignette shows that she is working hard to step it up in the ring.
The 2013 WWE Diva Search winner is yet to make a live return to WWE, with all of her appearances coming in vignettes. Guessing by her activity on social media, it shouldn’t be long before she makes a splash on the screen.
