Vince McMahon was a controversial man and his long stint at WWE saw him getting into several controversial situations
Vince McMahon can be termed one of the most controversial pro wrestling figures. Although a genius, he took the company to brand new heights; he was always neck deep in different controversies. Over the years, McMahon took the regional company and took it to new heights, and made it an International giant.
Throughout the last few decades, McMahon was involved in several inappropriate and NSFW storylines with newcomer women. Women such as Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Lita, and many more. Recently, there were even allegations against paying hush money to several women.
Soon after those allegations rose, McMahon took his exit and retired from WWE. And Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan took the company over. However, during his prime, McMahon often associated himself with several inappropriate storylines involving women.
One of which especially was with Torrie Wilson in 2001, when she made her move from WCW to WWE. Speaking with Baltimoresun, Wilson revealed about that incident, and how uncomfortable she was. Wilson said, “Extremely. That was the first day I was actually on the show. The guy made me nervous anyway. I didn’t know him very well at all. He was very intimidating, and I had to make out with him in front of his wife.”
The WWE Legend continued, “And his wife is telling me to grab him more and harder. It was just a very weird experience.” However, she reported how she never even got to tell her husband about the incident, and how he witnessed it alongside the world, watching it together.
Vince McMahon’s retirement from WWE, came as a shocker. People involved with the company, and the business were shocked to hear about the decision. After his allegations of paying hush money, McMahon went to Twitter to announce his retirement.
Roman Reigns during a podcast session with Sports Illustrated, revealed that Vince McMahon gave him a special message after the retirement. Reigns claimed, “You know, it was just hard to believe because I think, along with anyone who’s followed this business or been in this business, Vince is gonna be running this. I’m going to be long gone and I’ll be 20 years retired and Vince is still running the show.”
Reigns further claimed that the retirement would last around six months, and they would see what has to come. However, Reigns revealed that later they got the message from the talent relations, and he got a personal message from Vince McMahon, after which they talked.
