WWE has some contract extension plans for Candice LeRae
Candice LeRae has been out of action for a long time due to pregnancy, and it was recently revealed that her contract will expire in 2022. But now, it is reported that her WWE NXT contract will be automatically extended due to her time off for pregnancy.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling inc.)
It was reported earlier that LeRae’s contract will expire in May. Still, it’s believed that the company will now add some period to the agreement to cover the long hiatus of pregnancy that she announced back in August.
LeRae’s contract will now cover until 2023. However, there is still no word from her if she plans to re-sign with the company beyond the extension.
It was reported earlier this week that Johnny Gargano’s WWE contract, which was scheduled to expire this Friday, December 3, also got a one-week extension till December 10 as he will make an appearance on NXT WarGames on Sunday.
WWE even offered a solid contract for Gargano, which would keep him associated with the company for several years. However, there is still no word on if Gargano is planning to re-sign with the company, and Gargano is still looking for outside offers.
LeRae and Gargano married on September 16, 2016, and are ready to welcome their baby boy in February 2022. Gargano started working for WWE in June 2015 and LeRae, on the other hand, started working in May 2017.
