Things didn’t go as planned for Ridge Holland on this week’s NXT as he picked up a leg injury

This week’s NXT was expected to be quite a show after the spectacle that was TakeOver 31.

Finn Balor had already picked up an injury and confirmed he had a fractured jaw ahead of the show, and it is to be seen what happens to the NXT title.

However, another star picked up a serious-looking injury during the show. Ridge Holland had already made a name for himself in recent weeks with a few easy wins.

He then destroyed Adam Cole at TakeOver 31 and dumped his body near the ring for the rest of the Undisputed Era to see.

However, Holland was involved in a match on this week’s show and the aftermath of the match didn’t go well for him.

He tried to catch Oney Lorcan who hit a cross body from the ring, but his leg collapsed. Holland needed a lot of attention from the paramedics with his leg in a cast but he showed the thumbs up sign as he was stretchered off.

Fans fear the worst for Holland

This isn’t the first serious injury a star has picked up while wrestling but it is always a sad sight to see anyone get injured in the ring.

Holland was getting a huge push from WWE in recent weeks, and he could have been the one breaking up the Undisputed Era.

However, that might have to take a back-seat as Holland recovers from his injury. WWE haven’t confirmed what kind of injury he might have picked up yet but many fans predicted the worst for the rising star.

WWE stars also wished Holland the best and hopefully, he comes back stronger than ever.
