Sonya Deville shocked the WWE Universe by making her return to SmackDown on the first show of 2021
There were some shocks on this week’s WWE SmackDown but nothing could match Sonya Deville and her return to the Blue Brand.
The Pride Fighter hadn’t been seen in WWE since losing her match to Mandy Rose at SummerSlam. That was a loser leaves WWE match but Deville and Rose had patched up outside on social media a few months later.
Deville was on fire when she started her rivalry with Rose. However, she might have taken some time off after she was the victim of a failed kidnapping attempt at her home.
Thankfully, the Pride Fighter was quick in her actions and there was no harm caused to her. It made sense for her to be away for a while but it is great for her to be back.
Ready for the title?
Deville was in the form of her life before she had to ’leave’ WWE. Now that she is back, it will be interesting to see what is next for the Pride Fighter.
Her rivalry with Rose is over and her best friend is now on Raw. There are several big names on the SmackDown women’s roster that Deville could battle.
The Pride Fighter didn’t say much on her return but it got a lot of people talking. The 27-year-old is one of the best in the ring and her MMA background makes her dangerous.
2020 was a pretty horrible year with several wrestlers passing away and the Coronavirus also being a bit of a bummer.
However, Deville returning to WWE and wrestling in general is something positive to kick off 2021 with.
Many fans shared their predictions for what is next for the Pride Fighter with some believing she could be set for grand things this year.
